What It Really Takes For 63 To Feel This Strong
Watch this first
This is what 63 can look like.
Bare feet on a pier in Aruba. Strong legs. Clear lungs. Quiet mind.
People tell me all the time, “You are so lucky. I hope I am like you at 63.”
Here is the truth.
It is not luck. It is years of tiny choices that no one sees.
For forty years I have lifted weights, walked with intention, paid attention to sleep and stress, and rebuilt myself after injuries, heartbreak, surgeries, and hard seasons.
I am not perfect. I have had seasons where everything fell apart. But I kept coming back to the basics. That is the only reason this walk feels light right now.
You can have your own version of this, and it will not happen by accident
Use it or lose it
What is really happening to your body in midlife
Starting around 30, most people slowly lose muscle every decade if they are not doing strength training. After 50 and 60, that loss speeds up.
On the outside it looks like:
• Stairs that feel higher than they used to
• Joints that complain more
• A little wobble when you turn quickly or step off a curb
• That quiet fear of falling that you do not say out loud
On the inside it is simple.
Muscle is being replaced by fat. Your nervous system is trying to protect you. Your balance and reflexes get dull. Your confidence shrinks with it.
The good news. Muscle loss is not permanent. Your body is not done. It responds to what you do next.
Even in your sixties and seventies, a few months of consistent strength training can improve muscle, strength, and daily function. Your body is always listening.
How much does it really take
Most women I work with are overwhelmed because they think they need a perfect routine, five days in the gym, and a complete life overhaul.
They do not.
Here is the basic recipe that can change the trajectory of your health over the next year:
• About 150 minutes a week of movement that makes you lightly out of breath
That might be 30 minutes of brisk walking, five days a week, or a few longer walks spread across your week.
• Two days a week of strength training
Squats or sit to stands. Pushes and pulls. Hip hinges. Carries. At home or in a gym. Dumbbells, bands, or bodyweight. Enough resistance that the last few reps feel challenging.
• Simple balance and stability work
Standing on one leg near a counter. Heel to toe walking. Slow, controlled movements that teach your body how to catch itself.
For your heart, even a small bump in fitness matters. When people move from “deconditioned” to “moderately fit,” their risk of early death drops. You do not need to be an athlete. For most midlife women, that looks like a few honest walks a week where you can still talk, but not sing.
In plain language.
Two or three walks that get your heart rate up, plus lifting twice a week, repeated over months, can completely change how your next decade feels.
I did not get here by accident, and you will not either
I have watched women for forty years. Bright, capable women who are aging faster than they have to, not because they are lazy, but because they are overloaded with information and do not have a clear path.
They bounce between supplements, podcasts, and quick fixes while their foundation slowly crumbles underneath them.
That is why I created The Ageless Reset™.
For the first time, I am taking the way I work with private clients and opening it up to a small group.
Here is what it is in real language:
• Six weeks of guided foundations to rebuild your strength, energy, and daily habits
• Simple strength and walking plans that work at home or in a gym
• Nervous system and mindset practices so your body feels safe enough to change
• A full year of support with me, so these new habits actually become your new normal
I am opening it to 20 women who know they do not want to coast into another year feeling weaker, softer, and more tired.
Enrollment closes December 31.
We begin January 12, 2026
Your next year starts now
If you take nothing else from this, take this:
Your body is not failing you. It is responding to the inputs it has been given.
You can drift into another year hoping that “one day” you will get serious about your strength. Or you can decide that this next season is about building a body and a nervous system that can actually carry the life you want.
I created The Ageless Reset™ for the woman who feels that truth in her chest.
